    B-25H Mitchell

    The North American B-25 Mitchell is a medium bomber that was introduced in 1941 and named in honor of Major General William "Billy" Mitchell, a pioneer of U.S. military aviation. The B-25 first gained fame as the bomber used in the 18 April 1942 Doolittle Raid, in which 16 B-25Bs led by Lieutenant Colonel Jimmy Doolittle attacked mainland Japan, four months after the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
    This plane has elements which contain realistic data and characteristics. All guns(+1 Cannon) are operable (minus the side ones). Four standard bombs are also loaded in the bombs compartment.
    The plane comes with one sitting american pilot and it also contains a functional instruments panel. The panel bears a partial similarity with the real one. The pilot and some instruments have been borrowed by the Grumman J2F fine plane (created by Pascal Dumat & Thomas Brueckelt) add-on http://www.qualitysimulations.com/vsf/files/Grumman_J2F.exe
    Engine sound is realistic and as a horn it uses a WW2 pilot voice sound.

    SBD-3 Dauntless

    The Douglas SBD Dauntless is a World War II American naval scout plane and dive bomber that was manufactured by Douglas Aircraft from 1940 through 1944. The SBD ("Scout Bomber Douglas") was the United States Navy's main carrier-based scout/dive bomber from mid-1940 through mid-1944. The SBD was also flown by the United States Marine Corps, both from land air bases and aircraft carriers. The SBD is best remembered as the bomber that delivered the fatal blows to the Japanese carriers at the Battle of Midway in June 1942. The type earned its nickname "Slow But Deadly" (from its SBD initials) during this period.
    This plane has elements which contain realistic data and characteristics. The default weapons load contains 2xBrowning 0.50 calibre guns at front and a rear 0.30 Browning gun. Two standard bombs are also loaded under the wings.
    The plane comes with a sitting american pilot a rear gunner (added as weapon)  and it also contains a functional instruments panel. The panel bears a partial similarity with the real one. The pilots and the instruments have been borrowed by the Grumman J2F fine plane (created by Pascal Dumat & Thomas Brueckelt) add-on http://www.qualitysimulations.com/vsf/files/Grumman_J2F.exe
    As a horn it uses a WW2 pilot voice sound.

  3. More information about "A6M2 Zero"

    A6M2 Zero

    The Mitsubishi A6M "Zero" is a long-range fighter aircraft formerly manufactured by Mitsubishi Aircraft Company, a part of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and operated by the Imperial Japanese Navy from 1940 to 1945.
    The Zero is considered to have been the most capable carrier-based fighter in the world when it was introduced early in World War II, combining excellent maneuverability and very long range.
    In early combat operations, the Zero gained a reputation as a dogfighter, achieving an outstanding kill ratio of 12 to 1, but by mid-1942 a combination of new tactics and the introduction of better equipment enabled Allied pilots to engage the Zero on generally equal terms.
    During the final phases, it was also adapted for use in kamikaze operations.
    This plane has elements which contain realistic data and characteristics. Its engine has the specs of a "Sakae 21" engine. The default weapons load contains only guns but inside the Weapons directory you will fibd 2 types of bombs: a 60 kg (2 x underneath wings) and a 250 kg (underneath fuselage) . So you can make your own weapons load configuration by altering the [weapons_num] settings and weapons priority inside the "stores.cfg" file.
    The plane comes with a sitting japanese pilot and it also contains a functional instruments panel. The panel bears a partial similarity with the real one. It mainly uses default VSF instruments with the addition of 3 user made ones.
    As a horn it uses a "banzai cry" sound (works well in scripts).
    Moving parts:
            Canopy --> slide open/close with Ctrl-C
            Main Gear --> up/down with G
            Folding Wings --> fold/unfold with Ctrl-F
            Arresting Hook --> up/down with C
            Instruments --> stick, throttle, pedals, gear, flaps
    EXTRA!!!
    The vehicle folder contains a "Kamikaze" subfolder. There you can find all the necessary files to create another vehicle for kamikaze missions. It contains a "stores.cfg" file with only the 250 Kg bomb, a modified version of "broken.x" a "vehicle.cfg" with no pilot and MOST IMPORTANTLY a script file named "kamikaze.txt".
    How to make a kamikaze:
        a. Create a new vehicle folder inside the "vehicles" directory (you name it as you like i.e. "A6M_Kamikaze").
        b. Copy all the content from the A6M2_Zero folder into your new folder.
        c. Copy the files (minus kamikaze.txt) from Kamikaze subfolder to your new vehicle folder (replace existing).
        d. Copy "kamikaze.txt" file into the "Vehicle Simulator/scripts" folder.
        e. Open VSF game and create a new scenario with a surface ship of your choice in the VSF world.
        f. Add the A6M_Kamikaze plane inside 10 nm radius from the ship (preferably above 3000 feet).
        g. Load the plane with kamikaze.txt and... choose your viewing point as the plane transforms into a kamikaze suicidal bomber!
        h. Alternatively you can use the "kamikaze_situation.txt" (copy into situations folder) with HMS_Hood and A6M_Kamikaze vehicles preset.

    Enjoy!
