The Skjold class is characterized by its speed, reduced signatures, small size and heavy weapon load. This class has a perfect littoral combat capability. The Skjold has an air-cushioned catamaran hull with water jet propulsion which provides high speed and a great maneuverability. She was constructed with glass fibre / carbon composite materials. Die Bergungsausrüstung eignet sich zum Auspumpen Leck geschlagener oder gesunkener Schiffe. Einsatzgebiet: Binnen-, Haff- und Boddengewässer sowie Seehäfen.
