ROUSSEN Class FPB

ROUSSEN Class Fast Attack Craft for Vehicle Simulator and Virtual Sailor NG. The Roussen class is a seven-strong class of British-designed fast attack missile boats improved and customized for the Hellenic Navy, also known as Super Vita. The class is named after its lead ship, which in turn is named after Lt Nikolaos Roussen, a World War II submarines officer who was killed in the suppression of the Navy mutiny in April 1944. This boat has properties. The ship bears an animated Hellenic Navy flag and carries two rotating radars. The bow and aft flagpoles are animated and they can be lowered or raised with Ctrl-A. This boat carries 4 EXOCET missiles (2 on each side) that can lock on targets and be fired. Just make sure that prior to the missile launch your target ship is in your beam port or starboard, with a relative bearing 65 degrees up to 115 degrees off your bow. You can fire the missiles from the weapons panel or by bringing up the HUD (Shift-H) so that you can hear the lock on sound. The OTO MELARA 76/62 gun is also playable and loaded with real life data (inside the weapon.cfg). Finaly the RAM launcher is also functional. Just point the turret to the target, lock on and shoot. I have not included a panel yet, but I plan to make one in the future.Free3 points -

HS ORMI - TOLMI Patrol Gunboats

Version 1.0.0
583 downloads
The gunboats HS ORMI (P-230) and HS TOLMI (P-229) are the two "ASHEVILLE" class gunboats (ex USS BEACON/PG-99 and GREEN Bay/PG 101) of the Hellenic Navy. They were originally constructed for the crisis of Cuba. The gunboats were transferred to the Hellenic Navy from the US Navy. The design and construction was oriented to achieve high speed and for that reason the ships are made of aluminum, the superstructure is made of polyester and aluminum frame, achieving a total displacement of approximately 230 TN, while the turbine GENERAL ELECTRIC LM-1500 initially brought, was developing speed of 40 kts. In 1996 the main gas turbine was replaced by two new type main diesel engines MTU 12V 396 TE 94. In 2003 the main 3'' gun 3/50 was replaced by BOFFORS 40mm. SHIP CHARACTERISTICS Maximum length: 50,13 m Maximum width: 7,3 m Maximum draught: 2,5 m Weight: 265 metric tons Maximum speed: 21,5 knots Maximum energy rate with maximum speed : 1287 nm Habitats: 34 persons Main engines: Two MTU Diesel 12V396 TE 94 2X2216 HP Generators: Two IVECO-8210M 22 6V MARELLI- M7B M250, with output 2X100 Kwatt RHIB: One Barracuda 4,2 m, with 25 ΗΡ LEGAL INFORMATION This is a freeware package. The original (and truly amazing) Asheville Class 3D model was downloaded from SKETCHFAB (https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/asheville-class-motor-gunboat-pg-84-class-2e0f66a372bf4db081929c47603bdf33). "Asheville Class Motor Gunboat (PG-84 Class)" (https://skfb.ly/6xzFr) by Angel_Arrow is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). This model cannot be sold as payware in any form. You can use it for your own entertainment in Vehicle Simulator or Virtual Sailor NG. I had to make some necessary modifications in order for the boats to resemble the ORMI - TOLMI class ships. I also added a bridge panel with vintage analog instruments along with some digital ones. All the instruments can be re-used providing that you give me some credit. INSTALLATION Just copy the contents of this package into your VSF (or VS) /vehicles installation folder (overwrite the existing folders if any). Inside the HS_ORMI folder you will find a HS_TOLMI subfolder with the necessary files for the sister ship. USAGE HS ORMI has elements for VSF while TOLMI has elements for Virtual Sailor NG. They can sail in both simulators but with different speeds. The ships bear an animated Hellenic Navy flag and carry two rotating radars. The bow and aft flagpoles are animated and they can be lowered or raised with Ctrl-A. The bridge doors open and close with Ctrl-D. All weapons are fully functional with real life data. P&O Cruises - Britannia Released!
MarkoBarthel and one other reacted to RobertNeath for a topic
It is with great pleasure for me to release Britannia V3 (March 2015) Arriving in spring 2015, Britannia will represent the very best of the best! The largest cruise ship built exclusively for Britain, she will combine signature P&O Cruises features with the very latest innovations in dining, entertainment and modern design. Britannia will embrace a bold new 94 metre Union Flag on her bow displaying the longest version of the Flag anywhere in the world. The new style represents a contemporary approach to cruising which looks to the future, whilst celebrating the past. The new imagery on the bow will be sympathetic to Britannia’s sweeping lines and enhance her presence across the world in port and at sea.Her other distinctive features include blue funnels carrying an illuminated rising sun motif which depicts the Oriental part of the Peninsular and Oriental (P&O) name on the company’s Coat of Arms Britannia will has a capacity of 3,647 passengers who will be able to enjoy the facilities on 15 public decks. In total there will be 1,837 cabins comprising 64 suites, 1,313 balcony cabins and 460 inside cabins. All the outside cabins will have balconies and in response to the increasing number of solo travellers P&O Cruises Britannia will have 15 single balcony cabins and 12 single inside cabins, this amounts to more single cabins than any other cruise ship. On the 27th February it was announced that Her Majesty the Queen will name Britannia on the 10th March in Southampton. Enjoy this ship Virtual ship as I have greatly enjoyed creating her. In the future I do plan on updating the model. Name: Britannia Owner: Carnival plc Operator: P&O Cruises Ordered: 2011 Builder: Fincantieri, Monfalcone, Italy Yard number: 6231 Laid down: 15 May 2013 Launched: 14 February 2014 Handed over to P&O: 22nd February 2015 Named by: HRH Queen Elizabeth 2 Named on: 10th March 2015 Maiden voyage: 14 March 2015 Identification: IMO number: 9614036 Status: In Service General characteristics: Tonnage: 142,000 GT Length: 330 m (1,083 ft) Decks: 15 passenger decks Capacity: 3,647 passengers Crew: 1,350 The Main model is primarily for VSF however there is an older model available for VS7. The ships tender is also included in the pack. Download VSF: http://1drv.ms/1AbGEHS Note: For the VSF version I have included 'Bridge lookouts' These can be activated using the "page down/up" keys. Also if you have a problem with performance in the folder just simply rename the 'Anim.x' file as this will delete her deck details. Using the 'Insert' and 'Delete' keys you can now add/remove the tenders on each side of the ship. This version has also been resized and added radars as well as texture fixes. Download VS7 Older model: http://1drv.ms/1K3JOF5 Enjoy! Robert Neath2 points -

HMS Victory for VSF
RobertNeath and one other reacted to Deutschmark for a topic
This is my second ship that I am releasing for VSF Vehicle Simulator. There is no engine to this ship other then to make a wood creaking sound so just turn on engine and bring up the throttle to hear the sound, she runs under wind power so you need to set the wind at 15 to 20 knots and she will start to move, you can bring the sails and jibs up and down please look at the VSF keys manual for this. Credits; 3D Models, textures and sounds by Deutschmark I would like to thank; Nemo, for his work and help with the sails. Sailor John, for his CFG's work. Download; Hope you all enjoy the Victory. Across the Seas - Alpha
MarkoBarthel reacted to omsi_2_fan01 for a topic
Thanks for releasing Across the Seas as free alpha-version, finally a new and modern ship / naval simulator in development. There arent many "real" ship / boat simulators out there. The most ship simulators on steam are just some cheap acarde games with unrealistic physics and no modding possibilities (Ship Simulator extremes etc.). The only more realistic simulator wich has a player community with mods is vehicle simulator (VHS) wich was released 2009 or so and since then was the most played "real" ship simulator. But the engine is outdated and also there are many bugs and limitations because of this. For example, VHS dosent supports dynamic lighting and only allows a limited amount of animations on an ship model. Also, VHS has problems when a ship model file is to large and detailed etc. The water / weather physics of VHS are also not that good, the wave height in habour and on sea is always the same and in stormy seas, you sometimes just "jump" with your ship over the waves. Multiplayer on VHS is also an issue, joining a server is often buggy. Lastly, the developer of VHS dosent seem to fix any of the bugs or even upgrade the game to modern standarts. The development of VHS seems to be dead. Across the Seas looks promising and modern, like it could replace VHS one day and everone from VHS will then switch to Across the Seas. Things wich are already better in Across the Seas are: Firstly, using Unity engine the graphics are much better and there are more possibilities for functions on the ship models (animations, effects, textures etc.) One ship even has an animated anchor. The water physics are better (differnt wave heights in port and out on sea) and overall the enviorment (sun, clouds etc.) looks more realistic. I am excited to see the further development and updates of Across the Seas.1 point -
